The Urbanisation Impacts on the Policy Effects of the Carbon Tax in China

In the literature, very few studies have focused on how urbanisation will influence policy effects of a climate even though does profound socioeconomic impacts. This paper has explored interrelations among urbanisation, carbon emissions, GDP, and energy consumption in China using autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) model. Then, unit impacts are inputted into evaluation framework Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) model 2015–2030. The results show that had positive impact GDP but negative emissions 1980–2014. These were statistically significant, its was not significant. 2015–2030, intensity. It decrease household welfare under tax. increase average social cost (ASCC). Hence, reinforce tax welfare.
